Congratulations! You are an immortal!
There are many different levels of being an immortal. But in order to do your job right and effectively you must follow some very basic guidelines:

1. Be impartial. Always listen to both sides of a story with and open mind before passing judgement on anyone.

2. Respect others. This includes mortals. Even level 1's!!!! Don't think that just because you have more power than them that you can take over the mud. Treat everyone with the respect you expect to be treated with.

3. Do not help mortals unecessarily. This means do not heal them, restore them, or get their corpses for them. This is considered unfair and wrong. There shall be no special treatment of any players no matter what your relationship is towards them.

4. Do not harass the players. Some people set aside time AND money to play this mud and don't need to be bothered by you just because you have nothing better to do. If you feel the urge you can leave the mud and come back later when you grow up a little.

5. Always remember that people are here to have fun and enjoy themselves. Don't interfere with their leisure time. Just as you, they are here to have to socialize and interact within this virtual community.

6. Although we believe in freedom of speech. There are certain limitation set forth to avoid chaos. Please enforce the rules that there shall be no cursing or slanderous marks made about others whether it be race, sex, color, ethnicity, nationality, or sexual orientation. (refer to rule 2)

7. When in doubt always try to do what you feel would be the right thing to do. In the event that you are unsure about current circumstances please refer this problem to a higher level god.

8. Interact with the online community. Don't just sit there and do nothing. You have a job to do. You and they are what keeps this mud running. Don't just decide to do something based solely on your opinion. Ask around. This mud is not just for immortals it's for everyone and we need input from the insiders and not solely from outsiders. Public Opinion is a highly valued resource.

9. As time changes, the people change with it. No rules are ever final and there is always room for debate. Please feel free to suggest any changes or additions which you believe are necessary and would benefit all of us.

Thanks for your time - SiReN
